Parupu usli is an authentic south Indian dish made originally with gawar beans(kotha varanga or Matti kayalu). But in the following recipe it's made with green beans, you can even try adding cabbage and beans together. Usually the dal mixture is fried in lots of oil and steaming it was a healthy idea, another easier way is to microwave the mixture. Enjoy the meal with hot steamed rice and curry.
